Not traditional country, more like hillbilly rock.
not so much in his early days, but he has matured into a traditionalist. my answer is yes
I think he would like to be considered as such but in my own conscience I don't consider him as classic country. Just because you married a classic country singer (Connie Smith) doesn't make you country any more than you buying up all the country memorabilia you can get your hands on. Nuff said.
Yes country and blue grass love his music
Love the Bluegrass with Merle Haggard. I watch that video everynight
Marty Stuart has classified himself in the past as Rockabilly. However some of the stuff with Travis Tritt was the purest country of that decade. The Whiskey Ain't Workin anymore
I need One Good Honky Tonk Angel to Turn My Life Around....etc.
Marty Stuart is considered by most people to be Rock-a-billy country, I like him just fine though! He's a good singer!
I think he is a little of both. Didn't he also do some country gospel?
This is not a tuft one BUT He started country and he went his own way.Working with Johnny Cash taught him that so yes he is country but southern rock rockabilly but not stone country or classic country
I like him! He's not classic, but I think he is country.
