I know. People need 2 understand that some people just don't like certain styles & rappers. People have different tasted. It doesn't mean they're necessarily hating. Just dislike there music.
hi
Im Not Really Into Rap Music But Im Not A Hater.
How Is Soulja Boy Doing something different for hip hop he represents everything that's wrong with it

he can rap????!!! prove it lol

i can't wait to see this
Maybe you percieve them as a hater but I look I look at it as someone speaking there mind. BTW Soulja Boy sucks I ain't hatin but just my humble honest opinion.
i agree with you, but i think its more of the way people express how they dislike a rapper. e.g your comments on Soulja Boy are pretty reasonable and no profanities or childish remarks were used. so people aren't gonna call u a hater. but when people are talking about a rapper they don't like and say stuff like *he's sh*t, "i'm better than him" "my gran can rap better than that n*gga" etc......then that comes across as hating
Eason - think about it man. I would rather have NaS narrate a stark view of the hood (filled with violence) than listen to Soulja Boy talk about "supersoaking a ho". I find that much more offensive.

While NaS is going on to release his 7th platinum album, so called "originals" like Soulja Boy will be going wood. There is nothing wrong with party records but if that is all you are doing then hip hop is something you are using to get money, you ain't livin it.
hate is a very powerful word, often used too loosely
When nas and other Consious rappers talk about drugs they are telling you what is going on in the hood and theres more to life then all that stuff. Theres a difference between telling it like it is and glorifying it. Drugs is a big problem in the hood (the world, matter in fact) and it can't be overlooked. I have no problem with artist rapping about drugs as long as your not glorifying it. How is soulja boy doing something for hip hop? by having little kids screaming super soak that hoe? Everybody in here that listen to real hip hop will continue to get mad because the music needs to get more diverse because theres way more to life then cranking that, snapping, shaking ya butt and making it rain in the strip club. I'm 16 and when i look around high school seeing that alot of the people follow the main stream trend and don't care about nothing else the our generation is going to be doomed because rap or hip hop is very powerful to most of us.
