Answers: I'm having difficult remembering song lyrics, I can only remember the lyrics when the song plays and then I can sing, how can i remember so i can sing without the song?

Repetition is the key. Sing the song over and over, preferably out loud.

However, there are other tricks that help.

Take some time to really read the lyrics. Most songs tell a story. If you can remember the story of the song, that will help you remember what lyrics come next.

Lots of songs have a really strong, and unique rhyme scheme. If you can remember the words that rhyme, that will give you anchor points in your memory. You remember what word you're going to, so that makes it easier to remember the words in between.

Try breaking the song up into sections. Work on memorizing the first couple of verses. Once you master that, move onto the next section.

Some people like to listen to recordings as they fall asleep. There are people who say the words sink into their subconscious that way.

Practice, practice, practice.
I use a karaoke machine to help me learn songs.
I sing it a few times looking at the words then I try it looking away. I have usually memorized they lyrics by about the 8th time I have sung the song and then just keep singing it to perfect it.
