miley cyrus partly got where she is becuz of her dad. but she CAN sing so that is another thing. you can to becuz to me it sounds like you can sing pretty good, keep believin and follow ur dream hun!

I like Miley Cyrus but the only reason she got as far as she did was because of her dad and his connections. Try working on your singing a bit more and learn the notes and such that you can reach and don't try so hard when you sing.

I am in no way trying to be mean and I am not a professional but, you sound flat. I think you have a voice that could be trained and become very good. Playing a instrument will make you more aware of tone and notes. I suggest trying piano. Good Luck.

In short, it's hard to say; many outstanding vocalists don't get the connections they would need to land a major music deal. I happen to be a Church musician with two decades of experience, and no record-label scout ever showed for a service at which I played.

Objectively, however, notwithstanding some wavering pitch, you remind me of a lot of coffeehouse singers along the lines of Suzanne Vega--a voice class in favor with Adult Alternative producers. Keep working on it; even if you don't land an opening-act gig for Cyrus, you can get a career underway.
