Answers: Is there a piece of music by BACH known as "The Black Forest"?
There was this instrumental 60's song called: A Walk In The Black Forest by Horst Jankowski & Orchestra. I remember, my mother had the record and played it alot. I looked and YouTube has it and amazon.com has it and target.com and onehitwondercentral.com, has it also.
Not to my knowledge -- which doesn't mean a whole lot.

But Peter Schikele's comic character, P.D.Q. Bach, wrote a piece called "Black Forest Bluegrass" -- in which he uses a harmonica (instead of a harpsichord) as a continuo, a banjo as one of the instruments in a paraphrase of the 5th Brandenburg Concerto -- it is hilarious. You can hear some samples here. (on the same album is another work called "No No Nonette", for assorted winds and toys)

For those who haven't had the pleasure, P.D.Q. Bach is (according to Schikele) the youngest and least known (and least talented) of the Bach family. It is all in fun of course.
