How many songs by MCR and FOB have you listened to before you decided you don!

Question: I know the common consensus on here. I'm not a big fan either, but I've listened to at least one entire album from each band before I made my decision. I want to know how many songs you have listened to before you decided you didn't like them.
Would you consider that fair if someone gave your favorite band that much of a chance?

A friend loaned me the Black Parade album a while back. I listened to it from start to finish three times. The first two times, I was working in the yard, so I didn't really hear much of it. I finally put it in the car, and boy, was that a mistake.

FOB, and PATD each got a full start-to-finish listen on their most recent albums. Needless to say, I was not impressed.... in fact, it would be more accurate to say that I was repulsed.

... and yes, I'd say that's a pretty good opportunity for them to make an impression. If I can't find 1 out of 12 songs that I like, then there's just no hope.

NP: "Business in Me" - Maeder
1 song each
they both suck
I actually like MCR- a lot!!, one song by Fall out boy. With FOB I listened to a bunch of songs and just could get into them. I think everyone has their own opinion on music and no one is going to agree on everything!
At least five from each group. However, a bad first impression coupled with really stupid names is a lot to overcome.
I have heard a lot of songs from both, and I can't hate 'em, they're great and they have a lot of talent, they don't sound like other bands, FOB sounds a lil' like Panic! at the Disco, but only because Patrick stump's voice sounds alike to brendon urie's, but I differenciate 'em becuase P!ATD uses electronic music and instruments like piano and accordion, so the sound is different and both are very original.
P!ATD lover Forever!!
MCR:
2 songs off their first full length, the whole 2nd full length, and their whole 3rd full length.

i don't like them.

their 2nd full length was okay..

FOB:
i've listened to every song:

i only like a few songs from "take this to your grave"
i don't like them though.

and yes i would consider it fair if someone gave my favorite band this much of a chance..
i decided i hate fob when i read their song titles.... too long and too cliche, and i at least listen to 4-5 of fob's songs and hate them.
as for mcr, i decided i hate them when i actually realized how many stupid fans out there saying:"OMG!! Gerard Way is sooo hooott!! He's mine!! I'm gonna kill his wife!!!"
ow man... and i used to like mcr's previous albums...
All I had to know is that they were played on KROQ (LA's home to the punk rock posers). One song each (and not even the entire song) told me that they suck. Some things just obviously suck.
They kept coming up around here and I wanted to be able to at least speak to what they sounded like so I took part of a morning and listened to 4 songs (the ones displayed on their MySpace pages with the exception of My Chemical Romance who for some reason puts up 30 second clips, truly tacky, so for them I found a fan page who posted tunes). I figure those are the tunes they choose to showcase so I am satisfied with the cross section that I heard. It just wasn't terribly interesting, but I have my tastes, and so do you, and so does everybody.

To answer the other part of your question, and I may or may not be representative of the type of person who you are talking about, I don't care whether the digi people on Yahoo Answers like the music I like or not. It's a nice bonus for good conversation, but really, it doesn't matter. At any rate, why would I expect anyone to waste an hour of their lives listening to a whole record when they know they don't like what they're listening to after three tracks. Especially when it comes to someone who's voice you find really annoying. In almost all cases that isn't going to change.
i love both but there is always one song that doesnt sound good from a band so listen to more than one song befoe you jusdge a band
i like both of them.
if you don't like them its your opinion.
i have saw fob in concert several times. at each concert i had an amazing time.
i know people don't like them but i do i'm glad you actually gave them a chance unlike others who just dont like them because they are becoming "mainstream" so what
I hate them both. I own two MCR albums, they have about 2 goods songs and all their lyrics really suck. The main thing that puts me off is all the people who have only heard the singles from TBP on Karrang and claim to be fans. I have heard a few Fall Out Boy songs and they all sound the same and are quite boring.

I accept that most people wont like my taste of music, especially with most people i know's complete fear of hearing something different.
FOB is my best friends favorite band and MCR is my other best friends favorite band so I've listened to both and I like MCR better but don't actually dislike either of the bands. For me it's evanescence all the way though.
