go listen to these guys-juliette and the licks-it's juliette lewis(the actress)and her band-she,they,are freakin awesome-you wouldnt think it cuz of the whole actress thing and it seems a lot of actors are joinin a band- but they really are great!i guess that's why we never see her on film anymore.

I listen to a lot of pop-punk and punk rock bands. Some of the bands I listen to:

- Ramones: Pretty much all of their songs are classic! Favorite band of all time!

- The Clash: Check out the Combat Rock CD. It's great!

- The Misfits: A little more hardcore than the other bands listed here, but still great. Glenn Danzig has the best voice in punk rock. Don't listen to the stuff they released after Danzig left the band. It's bad.

- Rancid: "...And Out Come the Wolves" is a classic. A must-own for every punk music fan.

- NOFX: Great band that invented a very popular style of punk in the 90s. "Punk In Drublic" is a classic. The only bad thing about this band is that almost all of their records have at least one bad song in them.

- MXPX: Check out the "Life in General" and "Let It Happen" albums. They are genious.

- The Queers: Very poppy and catchy style of surf-rock-punk-rock. Very influenced by the Beach Boys. Check out the "Love songs for the retarded" album.

- Green Day: The older stuff is much better than new stuff. Check out "Dookie" and "1039 Smoothed out slappy hours".

- The Muffs: One of my favorite bands. You have to listen to them a few times before you really get into them. "Blonder and Blonder" and "Happy Birthday to me" are both classics. Kim Shattuck has the second best voice in punk rock (after Danzig) in my opinion.

- AFI: The new stuff sucks. Check out "Very Proud of Ya". Very fast, very loud and very powerful style of punk rock. The new stuff doesn't even compare to what they used to play. Besides, the Halloween cover of the Misfits might be the best cover song ever created.

- Descendents: Very hardcorey style of punk. Fast and loud. Check out "Milo goes to college".

- Dillinger Four: Might be the funnest band to listen to. "Versus God" is a classic.

- The Dead Milkmen: Very very funny band to listen to. "Big lizard in my backyard" is great!

- Discount: Very poppy and catchy style of punk. Female lead singers make it all better!

- The Soviettes: Loud, fast and cool. All their songs are great. Awesome punk from Minneapolis!

- Tilt: "Till it Kills" is one of my favorite albums of all time and "Weave and Unravel" one of my favorite songs!

- Screeching Weasel: Excellent band. All their songs are awesome.

- Less Than Jake: Excellent ska-punk. Very fun to listen to.

- The Ataris: The new stuff kind of sucks, but they had great releases a while ago. Check out "Blue skies, broken hearts, next 12 exits" and rock out.

- Sex Pistols: Released only one album in their "carrier" but it was enough. It's a classic.

- The Lawrence Arms: Awesome. Check out "Apathy and Exhaustion"
