Unknown song? Sounds like the Beatles?!

Question: I keep hearing this song at work, playing over what I believe is a pretty generic satellite radio station. It sounds a lot like the Beatles (definitely a male British singer and from the '60s or '70s), and has a short piece of Indian instrumental music that plays at the end. The lyrics may include the following "it's over now" "she said to me" "may be blue" "a hold on me." It's definitely NOT the Beatles' "She Said She Said" or "You Really Got a Hold on Me." It has a melancholy feel to it, but it's not really a slow song. There's what sounds like a piano that plays through it as well. The station plays mostly classic and modern rock, stuff like Van Morrison, Coldplay, James Blunt, Dido, etc. It is really driving me crazy, especially since all my searches for those lyrics don't bring up any results. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

I'm thinking it's def' George from his 1987 album "Cloud 9". Song called "When We Was Fab".
I'm not sure about this at all, but Indian music sounds like something George Harrison would be involved in.

How are you sure it's a British singer from the 60's and 70's? British singers tend to lose their accents for some inexplicable reason when singing. Although I do notice every act you've listed is from the U.K....
It may be a George Harrison song off his triple album 'All things must pass' or a future album. or
Within you and without you? (sgt peppers lonely hearts club band)
Maybe "All Will Be Well" by Gabe Dixon Band ??
Jeff Lynn from the Electric Light Orchestra worked a lot with George Harrison. You might like to search ELOs vast output or maybe the Traveling Wilburys.
