Rappers and movies?!

Question: do you think it hurts a rapper's street cred when they play parts in movies or shows? they claim to be hood on their first cd's then go hollyhood on us. T.i., Ludacris, Ice-T(law & order, f the police?) what is this. Should we still support their fake cd's?
Why rap about strippers when you don't got to strip clubs and why rap about guns when you can't lagally hold one cause you're on probabtion?

they're just telling you how it used to be most rappers get rich and move into big houses with big security guards and take a couple of homies and just keep getting all the money they can that doesn't mean they're fake I'd do the same thing
Why rap about that crap anyway? Do you think that rapping about a stripper or guns makes them more credible? Give me a break, rap is not a musical format that should be taken seriously, every song sounds the same from 50 feet away.
Probably hurts TI's carrer to play a police officer arresting rappists altough he is one (according to his rap songs)
Usually, although it depends on the rapper. If its a rapper who doesnt rap about fake **** then its fine for them to be in a movie, and some of them may be good actors, like will smith. But most rappers are fake and not even good actors.
Does it matter as long as the money good. Thats why they do it and then so many people support it.
Lolz i dunt think rappers need street cred...they dunt live on da street! Ha ha they live in huge mansions...and...no i think rappers just sing about strippers and guns because everyone else sings it. But a song doesnt have to have strippers or guns to be good. There is always good old Piano Man (Billy Joel) and Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)
Well, they didn't go from the hood straight to hollywood, did they? Of course these rappers don't live that life anymore, but they rap about their experiences.
rappers are just trying 2 make money T.I. can say 1 line and get paid half a million for it
Yo i dont think u cant count wit Will Smith....Going To Miami?!...Gettin Jiggy Wit It?!? Thank god he can act..lol
Well, I think Ice-T just grew up! As for T. I. and Luda, I just think they're in the game for the money and the fame, not necessarily the content of their lyrics or their "hood" experiences prior to becoming famous and making millions.
But who's really fake, the artists who write the lyrics, or the people who recite them?
LOL@MOD Whats wrong with T.I acting...I mean in your life wouldnt you like to move up to something that could make you better...How does that make them fake...Then again i shouldnt even be answer this because it doesnt really make sense. Oyea and rap isnt about "street cred".
