if you take a long look from an historical perspective, then of course, the guys win hands down. Early on, women were not allowed to sing in church, in early opera there were always many more men than women, and for some of the female roles, you even had castrati. Women in Europe, and by extension, the States, were nowhere to be found as members of an orchestra ( apart from all- women's orchestras, relegated to the B or even C leagues) until after WWI. It was a huge thing in the 80s when the Berlin Philharmonic actually hired their first woman, the renowned clarinetist, Sabine Mayer. We women have made some huge strides in achieving parity, but there's still a long way to go.

I'm pretty sure there are more female singers. Some men are held back from singing probably due to the fact that other men thing singing is girly.

I'm going to say male as male bands alone are a lot more common than girl bands.
