I TAKE PRIDE IN BEING A HUGE MERLE HAGGARD FAN...OKIEFAN AND MERLE HAGGARD AND TAMMY WYNETTE WILL ALWAYS BE (in my opinion) THE BEST COUNTRY SINGERS EVER!!! I LOVE EM ALL AND HAVE WORKED FOR DOZENS OF COUNTRY ICONS AND HAVE SPENT A LOT OF QUALITY TIME WITH THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS AND PICKED THEIR BRAINS AND THAT'S HOW I KNOW MOST OF THE THINGS THAT I KNOW..STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSES MOUTH..I HATE HEAR SAY AND I'D NEVER TRY TO GIVE OUT ASSUMED INFO CAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THAT WORD "ASSUME"! She's one of the few intelligent and die-hard classic country music fans on Y/A. And from what I've learned ,she's had the honer of not only meeting but also working with some of the great classic performers.I know myself I've learned a lot by reading her answers and questions since coming on Y/a
Okiefan is a true supporter of classic country music and the legends who made it possible for us to enjoy their talents. She is also the consumate Merle Haggard fan and has worked with him in the past and she still does from time to time. That is the short answer but here is the long answer. Okiefan is someone I am pleased to call a dear friend of mine. Even though she and I haven't known each other that long and it's a shame we didn't meet sooner I would say that she is the one person who could answer your questions about Merle Haggard as well as many other artists since she has rubbed elbows with many of them. Other that that she is a sweet lady and a good ole country girl.
I don't know who OKIEFAN is, but I really like the questions he/she/they ask! Do some more cool questions, ok OKIEFAN???
