Why did Metallica hire that shrink? That was so lame! Do you think Metallica sti!

Question: Metallica was cool up until they released the CD "Load" way back in 1996. Since then, they have not been the same. I'm all for a band to change with the times and to evolve into another style of music. But come on!!! "St. Anger" was probably one of the weakest Metallica CDs I've ever heard.

I know they can't go back to the days of "Ride The Lightning" or "...And Justice For All". But they need to do something to reclaim their title of "Best Metal Band In The World".

OF COURSE!!! Meatllica is still No.1
Metallica still rocks!!!
Well,i guess I am not really up on metallica news, because I do not know what you are talking about. ( im pretty out of touch with anything new) I havent heard anything new from them in a long time. But I know what I like, and thats the earlier Metallica, 'Kill Em All', 'Justice for All', 'Master Of Puppets...' ah, yes the good old metal years...
i like ashlee simpson
metallica rocks
LA Sports Fan's right, ever since their change in style, they haven't been the same. In fact, they have been worse.

So no, I don't think Metallica still rocks.

Only their thrash era rocked.
Metallica's biggest drop in quality between albums occurred in 1991. Their self-titled "black album" was almost completely bereft of the energy that defined their '80s work. I'll never understand why people still like it. After that, Load and Reload were released which share about half an album worth of good tracks between them, but St. Anger, the one even die-hard Metallica fans didn't like, manged to bring back some of their old energy but without the substance. Songs like "Frantic" basically sound like they were written by a twelve-year-old Metallica fan. People are apparently getting excited about them releasing something new, but I've cashed out of that game and am now putting my money on Voivod (feat. former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, AKA, Jasonic), who are also in talks to put out a new album, but without their longtime guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour.
