answer to:which is better stradivarius violins, or suzuki violin?
I guess it just depends on the person you are asking. I like strads, but that's just me. I'd kill to have either though! Lol. I have a copy of a strad which is no where near as good as a real one, I know. I love it though. It's got a real rich sound to it. I hate to admit this, but I haven' t heard of the Suziki violins other than the newer ones.
Suzuki violin is not a kind of violin, but a method
for learning to play the violin.
If there is a Suzuki brand name for violins, they
would be recently made and would not cost too
much. Strads in playing condition cost at least
several hundred thousand dollars to buy, and
the best ones into the millions of dollars.
Many violins have the label inside that says "Stradivarius" but it is just a gimmick. You and I will never get near a genuine Stradivarius violin.
The Suzuki violins are a modern brand and are no more than 20 years old.
There is more to a good violin than just age.
I can't say that I have ever heard of a "Suzuki" violin. I do know that there is a method for learning to play the violin called Suzuki. How research have you done on this? I have done much reading on the 14th-20th Centuries and have never read about that type of violin, just a teaching method.
The Stradivarius violins are one of the most valuable violins in the world not only because they are so old but alsobecause they are so rich in their tone and quality. There is only one other violin I know of that is any where as valuable, and I never spell it right. (It does start with a "G"..... I think. LOL)
a real Strad is what ALL other violins are patterned after ... if you see the Strad name in a violin with a date it is just the year of the strad that it is a copy of ..... the Suzuki violins have been around for closer to forty years and some of them are nice violins (they too are based on the Stradivarius's measurements and techniques) ... the only really way to pick any instrument (especially strings) is ignore the labels and go out and play them
