Help! Looking for brazilian / latin song?!

Question:

Help! Looking for brazilian / latin song?

Its a carnival type song (i think!), the main riff is a strong rising trumpet wailing sound (de duur,, duur de da!) repeated twice (the second time in the higher key), then a 'cha-cha, cha-cha chcha cha cha' sound (might be trumpet again but stuccato notes) then some male vocals in spanish or portugese. It sounds like an older song.

Cryptic I know! Ive heard it on tv once or twice. Any ideas?

Answers: Do you know who plays/sings it. How about Tito Puente? He was really popular in the seventies and eighties. And some of his music is very carnival sounding.

Here's a few of their famous songs:
Mambo Kings
Viva Salsa
Ran Kan Kan (this one sound more like what you're describing) With the trumpet opening then the cha cha sound created with with a trumpet moracas section then the male vocals.) If you pm me with your email address I'll email you the three tracks. Try Stan Getz...........The Bossanova Years................ sounds like a sergio mendez tune, not much to go on, but have a look at him, or herb alpert, either could be right
