Is It Hard To Get A Record Deal?!

Question:

Is It Hard To Get A Record Deal?

Is It Hard To Get Accepted With An Record Label? I want to be a singer like Massari (Known for being Canadian and a good singer), I am also Canadian, but I am working on sounding good because right now I sound bad (http://youtube.com/watch?v=zqe4pajkbqs)!... I want to get signed by any record label possible but It doesnt matter because I sing for the fun of it.

Answers: Well considering the mediocre music acts that are out right now, it musn't be too hard. But I don't know. I suppose it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time, and also who you know. Make some connections. But practice your art, get good at it and do it because you love it. Who knows how the industry decides things these days. If you make good music, it's pretty much impossible.

BTW, I'm Canadian and I've never heard of Massari. yes it is extremely hard.i've been trying since i was 6 or 7 yrs old and every audition i went to I never got a record contract.BTW I am almost 11 now.so the place NOT to go is John Robert Powers.It....it...it's torture.all i learned was how to be like everyone else in that room........and there was ALOT.the only good thing they did was teach me to walk properly.but they scam you out of $2,000 plus the cost of the book that you never ever use.it's $50 dollars for the book and you can't wear blue jeans...........so i quit it.
