http://wm09.allmusic.com One of the best jazz/blues bands ever were the Peddlers, though this was back in the sixties. Just a trio, they were an excellent live band. They did make a couple of singles, that didn't get anywhere (wrong kind of music for the masses perhaps), called 'Handel With Care' which as I recall was their version of Handel's Largo, and 'You're The Reason I'm Living.' If you like jazz/blues, they are well worth a listen. Jazz Artists:

Zora Young Boy you got a great answer there! There are so many categories under both headings . . . my 2 favorite vocal artists are Etta Jones and Joe Williams. Bessie Smith, Big Mama Thorton. I like Jill Scott a lot. Good luck! Check out django reinhardt, djangology. he is so good! and old louis armstrong from 1920s, miles davis: i like "someday my prince will come" by him. Is very good musicianship, all this is beautiful music i think. My top pick right now... cd2 of djangology, haha. As for jazz, muddy waters is prob best bet for most blues-like and one of best ever. i just listen to jazz at moment. i guess as with all types music got to keep looking till find the particular stuff you like, is big range. good luck!
