Why do people critisize other peoples music?!

Question:

Why do people critisize other peoples music?

im sick of going of when people ask questions lyk "whose the best rapper" and get "they're all crap" and stuff. and omg one time i saw this person had written that rap music had no meaning?!?!?! wat the hell. u can tell that person is demented. but thats not the point that point is we're all different and we all have different taste. why can't we just respect other peoples music. music is a beautiful thing in general don't spoil the experience for others. grr

Answers: It's because people are insecure. About EVERYTHING about themselves. In this case, they are insecure about the music they listen to... like they are afraid people think that the music or band or whatever they listen to is lame or uncool... then think they are lame. so they tear down other people's music preferences, saying that they are lame or uncool, so that they can feel secure.
that's just they way human's are naturally. the same reason you do also. because they are not any better but they do not want others to be better. besides they do not like other ppl's music! Because they didn't make it. Why don't you ask yourself that question I bet you do it too. people criticize music because thats a human self expression..for your information im being fair the greatest rapper of all time is 2pac from the Philippines love you pac r.i.p Because they can criticize another music. they don't have to like it. its an open forum, and if the person is asking a question about a particular band and or wacker[rapper] that i don't like of course I'm going to say they suck. its my prerogative. Most of the time people are just expressing their opinion, and occasionally are a bit stupid when they say "Lawl u suck!" and don't use constructive criticism. Different people like different music. It goes with the mood of the person, or sometimes their character and how they would like to express themselves. well maybe they just don't like it and they're trying to let the other person know why, and they see that as criticism Because if people don't like music, and have heard it, they generally dislike it. And if you dislike it, what's wrong with saying so?
Though criticizing rap as a genre is quite pathetic, criticizing, say, modern mainstream rap is generally quite justified. That's just my opinion, of course.
