How often do your musical tastes change?
i'm 19 and my musical taste has changed a lot from 12-19.
how often do people's taste change when they are older, or do they listen to what they did when they were in their 20's?
Answers: Changing musical tastes at the ages you mention is pretty common. As you get older, they don't change as much, but hopefully you will be open to new sounds. I have LOTS of music and find I frequently go through "phases" of several weeks/months where I listen to a certain genre/sub-genre like 70s punk, 50s Honky Tonk, Chicago Blues, or 60s Folk. I still like everything else in my collection, I just don't listen to it for a time. Source(s):
My 12,000 records/cds Growing up I listened to country cuz my parents did(didn't have my own radio back then) Got into Rock and at 48 still rocking well, when i was like 11 and 12 i just liked whatever came on the radio, mainstream crap
but around 9th grade i started to get into rock alot (obsessively according to my brother), and havent changed much since then My music taste doesn't really change. I'm always finding more genres of music that I like and I begin listening to that, but I still pretty much listen to the same stuff as I did when I was little. Usually children just listen to whatever their parents or siblings listen to but usually when they become a teenager they begin to have their own interests. It changes as I become older, so about every 7 years. never
