I just got my Grandpas old Ovation Acoustic guitar(5-10 yrs old idk) and the middle sting poped,i was just struming and it poped
I am scared to tell my parent cuz they might say i was playing to hard,but i wasn't.
how much a strings and how can i repair them on my own

Answers: No set of guitar strings will last forever. Tell him you broke it, and that you'll take care of it. You can buy strings at pretty much any music store that sells or repairs guitars. You should be able to find a set for $12 or less.

http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basic... don't worry you weren't palying it hard. i used to play the violin and i had to constantly replace the strings so it's normal for string insruments. just go to your nearest instrument store and they should have strings and they will most likely will be willing to replace the string for you and even tune it.
