but then again, most of us answering are already MCR haters We can't help it, MCR sucks ***. I give thumbs down more for bad answers than them liking a band I don't care for. It just so happens the two go hand in hand a lot of the time. I like them, I honestly do. But I don't understand why all the people are acting like this is the greatest rock band to ever walk the face of the earth. They can't hold a candle to such greats as, oh, I don't know, Black Sabbath, The Who, Zeppelin, The Beatles, Bowie (who they are frequently compared to as your last question pointed out), or Queen (one of my favorite bands of all time!). I also don't get why there is some sort of war between them and fans of FOB and PATD. Is this the new thing with kids, band wars?
I don't get it. They're okay but they aren't the gods their fans make them out to be. And I'm in the one of the age group that they should appeal to! People should listen to whatever music they please. A lot of people listen to the bands that are classics (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, etc.), but today's generation enjoys music that is popular today (Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, etc.). Sure, some of the bands today are quite horrible (I have heard several songs by Fall Out Boy and they are all quite horrible), so MCR is not nearly the worst. Their fans can often be completely absorbed and obsessed with everything MCR, so they might not have the most well though out answers sometimes. A lot of MCR fans believe they have to deal with all of their "haters," so they can be really defensive about their taste in music, which can often lead to lots of thumbs down. So, I think that MCR is not the worst band ever, I think they are fun to listen to, but their fans can often receive lots of thumbs down!
EDIT: Yeah, I really think the answer above said it perfectly. They might not be one of the classics, but you can still enjoy listening to them. I think it is their fans that make people dislike them. I would consider myself a fan of them, I enjoy their music, but I love such a variety. Everything from Queen to Johny Cash can be found on my iPod among MCR, so everything in moderation is good. It's a phase I hope they grow out of PRETTY quickly.

there a really good band they have loads of fans ..there just hard to find sometimes Actually I quite agree with yay!, listen to what you want. Until you've heard at least a couple thousand bands I don't think you have the qualifications to deem whom is the worst band.
On another note, Still I do think it's funny when someone asks "If anyone has ever heard of MCR". They're either blind, lazy or an utterly complete moron! Maybe not worst, just sissiest, and most annoying to listen to, and most fangirls, and most wrist blood spilt while listening to, and...
