Question:
I want to become a known singer?
I used to sing with a friend when i was younger and have always sung to every song i know.i know lyrics to loads of songs.but i want to be noticed and start singing for other people not just myself.i have been told by proper judges i can sing and have won local talent shows.but how do i go about becoming noticed.can anyone help with any ideas please..im 22 and i live in the uk.
Answers: it would be good if you could go to a recording studio,which you can hire pretty cheap now,do a disc and then send them to radio stations and anywhere to do with music
good luck Perform any chance you get.You never know there could be talent scouts on the search for the next big thing.Also if you do that and it doesn't seem to work then the next thing is to move to California.When you are in California there are many more oppurtunities.There are agents and producers looking for talent you can go get an agent and they will help you get jobs and get noticed.Hope this helps.Good Luck! Go into local music shops and pubs asking if they know of any bands looking for singers.
There are LOADS of acoustic and open mic nights around the country too, try and find yourself a mate that can play guitar (if you do so yourself the better) and turn up at them. You get your chance to sing and everyone there if you talk to them usually has a few contacts of people they know.
Works for me anyway. Listen, hun you should have like a concert for yourself. Hang up flyers and who knows you could get discovered there. Or you could put a video of yourself on google singing and someone might see you. Or just go on American Idol like everybody else does. You're old enough. Good luck. Later.
