Question:

Please tell me EVERYTHING i need to know about guitars/lessons/good learn to play websites&books etc.

Answers: most guitar stores will have books with songs in them start off with playing chords like G, EM, E, C, and D those are the basic chords that alot of christian songs use. if you want to find those on a website http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/... is a great one. and finding a teacher really helped me even if it is a friend or an actual professional teacher

yeah the person above gave a really good website! Source(s):
good luck i love playing guitar =) get a learn it yourself book. that is what kevin jonas did and now he is really famous BUY THE GUITAR AND ASK THE CLERK TO RECOMMEND A TEACHER a man with a violin hails a cab in ny. the cab driver pulls over and the man asks the cabby, how do i get to carnagy hall? the cab driver replies start at the begining and practice you moron If you had my dad's e-mail you would only get information from him because he loves to play his guitar and I dont even know his e-mail adress This site is great: http://www.justinguitar.com/

It even has a forum where you can ask other guitarists questions...it's a lot of help. It has free lessons (video as well) also. First you find someone to show you chords, you can find them online, but they are hard for me to follow. Then find some easy songs to learn ( try rock lobster, blister in the sun or anything by the violent femmes.) This is a good way to learn how to switch easily. Once you have easy stuff down try something a little harder. The best way to find music is at ultimate guitar.com You can find anything. Get you a decent guitar, a cheap one will make things much more difficult. Lock yourself in a room and play til you can't stand it anymore. If you really have the will to learn, you will learn.

A teacher would be helpful. A quick and inexpensive way to learn would be to get guitar tablatures. You can find tablatures for just about everything, free, online. jus start out with simple open chords and single note riffs, then move onto bar chords and arrpegios go to Guitar Center and get a book...they have a LOT of beginner books, first learn the scale...with that you can learn ANYTHING!! i play the guitar for 6 years...drums for 2. i know rock and most solos are hammer on's (really hard on acoustic strings) and scales. get a teacher. I got an Alverez Acoustic, I use Elixer strings, I taught my self to play, some of my friends taught me how to tune the guitar, change strings, and read tabs once you learn that you can start praticing. Moving around chords was the hardest thing i had to learn, I get my tabs from ultimateguitar.com, and a cool site that helped me with chords chordbook.com. The first song I learned to play was day tripper by the beatles, I taught myself by reading tabs. It just takes practice and patients. Acoustic in my opinion is harder than electric. I don't know why. I think music teachers are a bad idea because you don't really get a unique sound, I mean you might be learning songs you don't like or find them boring, so that's why I chose to teach myself. A VERY GOOD TEACHER. if you have a favorite band you can either buy a Hal Leonard tab book or you can go to the library for information on playing acoustic guitar OR you can go to this website:
