Is hip hop dead or is it simply evolving?!

Question:

Is hip hop dead or is it simply evolving?

There has been all this talk about whether or not hip hop is dead and I just want to hear some constructive answers.

Answers: hip hop is evolving. The torch is just being passed around. First it was new york that started it then in the 90's the west coast was on top and now its all about the south. Personally i prefer the westcoast period but thanks to ppl like kanye west, nas, busta rhymes and other commercial artists who arent falling into that trap is might just make it through this period. Although this can be constructive because this allows international hip hop artists to maybe re-invent classic hip hop. Evolving, but I don't think it's changing for the better. no, it's not dead: proof from this year: Hidden Darts, America, suicide notes volume 1, The bodega Chronicles, Under the Heavens, Eardrum, Return of the Mac, The Undisputed Truth, Jesus Price superstar, Desire....many more, all of these are excellent cd's from THIS YEAR..so no, it's not dead.....perhaps the stuff you see on BET every night makes you think this..but their wrong.. "The problem with hip-hop... ****, nothing at all
It's an artform that ranges and it changes it evolves
It's not always for the better, but be patient with it yall
For our time will come and the wicked will fall" - Murs in a way hip hop is dead, the oldies ar really better too
and hip hop is envolving but defintely not tfor the better
CrNK THAT is a gay song people should listen to some REAL hip hop and rap Hip hop is on life support. Young Dro, Talib Kweli, Common, and Lupe are fighting to keep it alive.
