Anyone ever heard of Victor Wooten bass player for bella fleck and the flecktones?
he is an amazing bass player that has never gotten much credit because of the style of music he plays
Answers: Yeah , Victor's pretty awesome. I get, that Bela's whole act has a grasp of all forms of pure music that encompasses "Chops", i mean - you'd HAVE to be open minded to jam with Tuvan Throat singers , right?! When we talk of "credit", we think of recognition from the masses, but a lot of people can't get into this music cause they don't understand it, but i bet you a lot more musicians (open minded ones..) are aware of this stuff. I remember a few years ago , one of the cable channels was running that Flecktones show several times a day, ...and i watched it over and over, and i'm open minded, as mostly a Rock driven guitarist of many years , i just love all types of stuff with chops and integrity. My older brother , who's actually a known SF bay area blues cat, went to a Victor Wooten clinic not too long ago, where Victor discussed and shared some of his thing with those that showed up. He told me he learned a wealth of info from the guy, and i don't doubt it at all... weird u should ask i just said yesterday hes the best technical bass player ive ever seen classical thump is amazing Hell Yes!
