When will Guns N' Roses finally release the "Chinese Democracy" album?
Come on man. It was supposed to be out many years ago. Axl Rose did promote some new songs during their short tour last year. I hear it is right around the corner, but so far haven't heard of an official release date.
Answers: After a Decade of waiting for "Chinese Democracy" I like many other Gn'R fans have totally given up. I'll stick with listening to appetite for destruction . After all this time CD will never be able to live up to expectations i would say never :) It's been "right around the corner" for at least a decade now. Axl has been testing the patience of his fans by dangling the Chinese Democracy carrot in front of their faces, and he's done this for so long that it will backfire. Instead of creating mystique and buzz about the album, he's just annoyed them.
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it. There's a good chance we will actually see democracy in China before the album comes out. I'm thinking they keep saying "soon" simply to keep their name in the news. Who knows and who cares?
It isn't 'Guns N' Roses' anymore - it's Axl's ego trip. As a longtime fan of GN`R I have given up hope buddy, Hey Velvet Revolver is pretty much the spiritual successor of GNR without the bloated ego of Axl anyway don`t waste yer time...... The Cubs will win the World Series, Jesus will return to Earth, and dogs and cats will live together in harmony before that album is released. I'd say Deke pretty much hit it on the head, and quite frankly, from what I've heard, if it is ever released, it's going to suck.
