Is there any Beatle's song still to be released?!

Question:

Is there any Beatle's song still to be released?

Answers: Lennon/McCartney wrote hundreds of songs which were never included on any album - so in a way the answer is yes. The problem is that no more material will ever be released from the Beatles because of Ownership rights and as a tribute to the memory of Lennon.

Similar story with Prince (or whatever he wants to be called these days) .... the word is that he has over 1500 songs that nobody has heard but it's unlikely any will ever be released. Probably. i know back in the 60's when the Beatles were here for concerts and the British Invasion was starting that I read Elvis invited them to Graceland for a visit, Since they adored / idolized Elvis they showed up. They got to goofing around in Elvis' piano singing and so forth and Elvis said lets go down to my studio where he had guitars, drums and other instruments and they started singing and having fun. Elvis had the tapes turned on so they could record what they were doing. Elvis' "Memphis Mafia" (guys who sang and provided security for Elvis all said this happened . Whatever happened to the tapes , no one knows. Whether they were recorded over or stored / stolen , no one knows . Can you imagine what those songs and all the "cutting up" these guys did would be worth today? And what ever happened to those tapes, well I guess only GOD and who ever has them knows Very, very many.

If you count outtakes and studio jams, their record company could fill at least a dozen more Anthology albums. To give you some idea, the "Twickenham Tapes" - the stuff that was captured by film crews while they were filming "Let It Be' is available as a 7, 9, 14 or even 38-volume set! The stolen and later recovered full sets of masters is...500 tapes. I don't think even the Beatles would want to sit through that again!

Most of these bootleg recordings are, frankly, not that great or interesting unless you are a total die-hard fan. A good overview here:

If you are talking about an actual "new song" (i.e. not just a sloppy live version or alternate take) - then these exist as well. "Carnival of Light," an experimental sound collage from 1967, and "Etcetera" a 1968 song from The White Album sessions by Paul McCartney, are two examples. Some "new songs" have already been bootlegged - like "Watching Rainbows" from the 1969 Let It be Sessions.

Whether you'll ever see these released - time will tell. (The master of "Etcetera" is currently missing, I think.)
