What are the super-flat 33 1/3 RPM Records called?!

Question:

What are the super-flat 33 1/3 RPM Records called?

I have a few thin records my ex-roommate left behind when he moved out. They are virtually paper thin, smaller than normal records in diamater (about the size of a desert plate) and have 33 1/3 RPM printed on them. Does anyone know what this type of record is called?

Answers: If they are actually paper thin they are called flexi-discs, and often came with magazines such as National Geographic or audio or music magazines. An EP or a Single usually.

EP means Extended Play - longer than a single, shorter than a full album (or LP). Super unbreakable vinyl. Also known as super flex.
This type of record was manufactured in the early 1970s, mostly. It did not go over well.
The standard LP remained the standard until LPs faded out in the late 80s. there were two kinds of records that were popular. we called them albums (many songs with a turning speed of 33-1/3) or 45's (usually a single with a turning speed of 45). Sounds like you have a hybrid single that turns at 33-1/3. Thin 33 1/3 record. A vinyl.
