These are my true music icons Tony Iommi - for creating that toned down "heavy metal" sound

Jimmy Page - for having enough sense to rip off all the great blues musicans and make it popular

Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, and all the other great blues musicians - for giving Jimmy Page something to rip off

the clowns who left their grease paint in the club before the first Kiss gig - without them, who knows?

Lennon, McCarrtney, Starr, and Harrison - for being who they are

Jagger and Richards and the rest of the band - for being The Beatles with a bad boy edge

Mark Slaugter, Dana Strum, and all the members of Trixter - for making me laugh

Jeff Beck - for creating an amazing guitar sound

Ace Frehley - for ripping off Jeff Beck

Slash - for ripping off Ace Frehley

whoever's idea it was to put Eddie on the Maiden covers - for putting Eddie on the Maiden covers

Sam Phillips - for Elvis, Johnny, Jerry Lee, and Carl.... Sun Records rocks

John Lennon is God!!!!!! Matt Pike (Sleep, Kalas, High On Fire) and Scott "Wino" Weinrich (The Obsessed, Saint Vitus, Place of Skulls)- both brought doom metal to a higher level than it was
John Garcia, Josh Homme, Brant Bjork, Al Hernandez, etc.. members of the band Kyuss. They were the forerunners of stoner rock and greatly influenced every stoner rock band out there
Ronnie James Dio- one of the best performers and song writers in metal, he's influenced almost every heavy metal and power metal band

And Steve Harris, he is the founder of Iron Maiden and an excellent song writer.

You wrote in your question that Iron Maiden was founded by a guy named Steve Smith. That is wrong. Steve Harris is the bassist and founder of the band. There was never a Steve Smith in Iron Maiden. Maybe you mean Steve Harris or Adrian Smith? Korn
