Mozart symphony?!

Question:

Mozart symphony?

Ok... I totally forgot the name or number of this symphony, but I'm pretty sure it was Mozart or Bach and I hear it everywhere. It starts out with women singing(kind of opera-ish or choir-ish), and its very slow and tranquil. It was used in so many ballets and tv shows... but I cant remember its name... Help :)

It's like Sequenz 6 Lacrimosa, I heard it on myspace... It's just a little happier Well, you have created a difficult task for us..

Mozart wrote no symphonies using voice, and Bach wrote no symphonies in the classical sense.

We can only guess.

Mozart -- something from his Requiem (Lacrimosa?) or from one of his many operas.

Bach -- there is so much material he wrote for choirs that I cannot begin to guess.

If you can get more specific about the sound, wht tv show you may have heard it on -- the ballet thing really throws me.

EDIT:
Is it this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afpfzgfzw... Good question but unfortunately more information needed - which I realize you probably don't have. :-(

Bach wrote no "symphonies" - that was a later historical development - so if it is truly from a symphony, that rules him out. I don't remember a Mozart symphony starting out like you describe although one of the movements within a symphony that has choral elements might well begin that way. If it was not a symphony at all but maybe a mass mass or other large scale composition it could be anything. Don't you just hate it when this happens? This is the longest of long, long-shots <gg>, but in the '90s, excerpts from what remains of the unfinished Mozart opera Zaide K344 were repeatedly used in productions other than of the work itself, including TV advertising, with specifically the aria " Ruhe sanft, mein holdes Leben" more frequently used than any other. Could this be what is on your mind? (Here's a sample:)

It's taken from this recording:
http://www.amazon.com/mozart-schreier-ho... I don't think it is Mozart. Maybe it is Aria. It is in Italian or something. Yanni has 2 girls that sing that song on his tours.
