Answers: I feel your pain...nothing can relace the good oldie bands. Most music nowadays is very punk emo rock bands full of deadheads who act like they are trilogies. Here are some recommendations..

idk, those are kind of hard bands to match to. Porcupine Tree is kinnda more modern heavier version of Pink Floyd Wolfmother have some style of led zeppelin White Stripes are a pretty good old-fashioned hard rock band with a twist. If you want to go a little heavier with a psychadelic side, try some Mastadon. Jet comes pretty close to AC/DCs stripped down style.

But then again why not just listen to Floyd and Zep? Alter Bridge... they're classic with a modern flavor... the even do covers of Zep, ACDC, Ozzy, Deep Purple, etc. at some of their shows.
