Question:
Is there anyone here old enough to remember who had a hit with 'Il silencio' at around 1963?
It was by someone with an Italian sounding name and it was a (trumpet?) instrumental based loosely on the last post.
I heard it played on the radio last week but I have forgotten the name of the artist so I can't get the music. Additional Details

It used to be played all the time at our local football team's home matches at half time.Sad eh??

Yeah-I`m old and sad enough to remember it-my cousin used to play it to death all the time; It was by a guy called Nino Rosso,and charted on 26 Augus t1965,reaching a high of Number 8,and spent a total of 14 weeks in the charts.
Dunno if you can re-order it,but try one of those record and cd fairs held around the country.Its on Durium label and its DRS54000.Hope this helps. Source(s):
