Why do people diss hip hop??
those damn rockers dissing hip hp and saying that rock is REAL music. they say dat hip hop degrades women and talks about drugs and sex. what about "sex, drugs and rock and roll?" i thought only hip hop talked about these things. not so tough now huh?? does anyone agree with me?? star my question if u liked it
also, we are in 2007, not 1980. th rock era (if there ever was one) is OVER FOREVER
Answers: Why people disrespect any music or artist is beyond me. Not everyone likes every style of music. Who cares? When people ask me "What kind of music do you like?", I tell them "Whatever sounds good to me!", but it's like that isn't the answer they want to hear. They want to know exactly who I like just so they can comment on it. As far as any style era being over or just starting or whatever, I've never allowed the "charts" or trends dictate what I listen to. I LISTEN TO MUSIC! It's ALWAYS a beautiful thing when an artist truly expresses his/her self through their art. Critics just try to ruin it for everybody. If we could get rid of politicians, lawyers, critics, etc. this would be such a better world. Peace. It's all a matter of tastes. Rock still exists, just not played as much as much on the mainstream airwaves as hip hop is. I personally wish we would go back to the days of Bootsy Collins and Earth, Wind & Fire. i dont know....but this is giving them the extra attention they want the fowl language they use.
and the whole gansterish thing.

rockers shouldn't diss rapers and rapers shouldn't diss rockers.

except for gospel and maybe jazz music too. your worried about people dissing hip hop but your dissin rock. You just need to realise that there are people from all walks of life and if we all liked the same stuff it would be boring. Respect all music!!
(and respecting doesn't mean you have to like it) Rockers diss hip hop cuz dey cant understand da flow of da music, dey cant understand that we put OUR lives in this songs, we dont degrate women, even though we talk about it we really dont. Hip hop is old school music its about having fun and being chill, bouncing yo head and following the rhythem.All i hear rock songs are aabout death, blood and gore, maybe thats why many emo/goths listen to rock. HIp hop is soul, its life, its when the entire world has given you **** and you move forward, you forget and forgive.

now if your talking about politics they diss hip hop and blame it for kind of stuffs just to have something for people to point fingers at they just want you to not see what is going on in the real world like all that war and stuff. you better shut the **** up you loser. yeah they talked about that stuff back in the 80's but ya don't hear that in EVERY song. that's all you hear in rap. it's trashy and they don't even play instruments! all they do is make beats and that's it! rock will live on forever whether you like it or not you a*******. Rock music is REAL Music. all rap is, is Trahsy and Dirty! you got alot of nerv to put this question on this site. you're a complete idiot to think rock music is terrible. A lot of people lump all that genre of music together and if you asked them to name a hip hop song that bothered them, more than likely, it is rap We baby boomers hate rap because when you are 20 feet from a car and all you hear is thumping bass , that's not music. It is annoying. I'd rather hear screaming guitars and some voice with it. Anything with it. Thump-Thump-Thump... OMG! How boring can you get. Where's my gun!
By the way, rock will NEVER die, because we baby boomers have the money to keep it that way!!! because its just type of people they think there music is the **** just like some people dis rock and all that other **** because hip hop is bad for you. if you listen to it to much it will make you go blind well they jus have their opinions ...some of the stuff they say is true but not all rappers rap about the same thing...rap originated from rock that was started by black ppl so idk y hey have problems Because it's absolutely the worst excuse for music to come along since...well forever. I can enjoy Classical,rock,jazz,rhythm and blues, blues, reggae,country and just about any other kind of music you can name but I have NEVER liked that crap your talking about. Maybe they want everyone to turn a blind eye to our problems. Rather than make a better world, just go on and do what you have to do. Forget everything around you.
