Answers: I agree that you should practice breathing/breath support. Not only will you be able sing longer phrases, but it will also help make your tone better. I wanted to correct one thing about the previous description on how to breathe correctly as a singer. You DO want your stomach to expand when you inhale. There are two ways to breathe:

(1) You can breathe so that your chest rises and falls, which is what you would need to do to keep your stomach from moving, like the previous answer suggested, but you can only get shallow breaths like this.

Alternatively, (2) you can breathe so your lungs expand downward, causing your stomach to make room for the extra air. This allows you to take much deeper breaths. It also helps keep you from sounding like you're gasping for air when you inhale (which is especially important if you're singing into a mic).

The correct way of breathing as a singer is #2. To practice this, instead of inhaling normally, just push your tummy out. It might not feel like you took a breath, but the body's designed so that if you push your stomach out, your lungs will expand automatically and air will come in, even if it doesn't feel like it. Practice this a few times, and once you're comfortable with it, start hissing when you exhale, holding it out as long as you can . When you do this, you should be able to feel the muscle at the very bottom middle of your rib cage contract. If you do, you're doing it right! Other than that, just try to practice breathing correctly while you sing, and I'm sure you'll sound great! (Also, in case you're wondering where I got all this crazy stuff, I am a classically trained singer and I'm majoring in biology at college right now.)

The most important thing, though, is to have fun when you sing. It will come across! Learn to breathe.
Yeah, I know that sounds dumb, but I've been a singer for a LONG time & it's the first thing I learned.
When you breathe properly, you need to breathe from the bottom of your lungs. Take a deep breath & watch which bit of your front sticks out. Now take a deep breath & try not to let any of your front stick out, by starting the breath like you're breathing with your stomach.
Practise controlling your breathing for a while & you will start to "hear" how a song's beat should go. This is called phrasing & is the next thing to learn.
Good luck!
It's hard to describe in writing. Don't you have a music teacher at school who can show you breathing? champagnedreamz.proboards80.co...

...champage dreams on mault liquor means... the breathing this is a major one..
if you do have a music teacher at school you should ask if he/she would be willing to help you out in improving..
you are so young..be sure you are prepared for everything that comes with being a singer..you should spend more time experiencing life and such maybe..songs are made from the heart..and being so young it would be hard to write about things that appeal to people if that makes sense...so stay small for now adn get the feel for things...im sure you'll do great!
GOOD LUCK!
