Any tips on learning to play guitar?
any of yall got any advice on learning to play guitar....ive wanted to play for so long but i just cant seem to get it...any tips?
Answers: When it comes to beginning techniques, have good posture. Sit up straight and make sure the thumb of your left hand is under the neck of the guitar, not reaching over it.
Try to learn notes and chords if you know how to read music. If you don't, there are plenty of beginner books at local music stores. Please don't try to completely rely on tabs that use numbers. If you do, you'll never fully learn the beautiful art that is the guitar.
If you can, attempt to learn classical guitar first, it makes acoustic and electric seem more simple. Source(s):
