How come these up and coming rapper's like to sample old school music ?

Also how come a lot of bands excluding rock bands and jazz, don't use live bands to produce music anymore. Everything is digital or synthisized somehow. even the singing isn;t 100% real these days. why can't we have real music all around??

from me 'Cause they wack. Because rap began with samples & rappers like to add that old school flavor to their song. A lot of people don't use live bands because it's too spendy paying all those different muscians thats why a lot of groups break-up, not enough bread & butter to go around. One or two people playing keys is a lot cheaper. Some people do use a limited number of live musicians such as a live drummer or live guitars but not a full orchestra.Unless you have a house band, Somebody's has to pay for it. Personally I love to hear live musicians, Music always sounds better with live instruments or orchestra. This is the Digital Age.
