I think they should!
Answers: Most definitely. It would allow newbies to Metallica to experience the best of the band and long-timers to relive all their fave moments on the same CD. No - greatest hits albums are total cheese Umm, they do have a greatest hits album.

Metallica rocks, the only thing that I dont like about them, like more that half of thier songs they just play guitar pretty much the whole time hells yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think so. It'll have to be like a triple disk set or something :) I just say have all their albums and mix your own all favs mix. Yes, They should make one.
It should be double disc with hits for each album they made. No. Their career is far from over, and if new fans want to get a taste of the band, they can go out and buy Master of Puppets. If they did that then my life would be complete. LOVE THEM!!!
xxx No i would buy it i don't. greatest hits albums are for posers who are too lazy to actually listen through a band's albums to find the "best songs" and by best i mean most popular. In my opinion, if you want a Metallica's greatest hits album, then listen to their albums, find your favorite songs by them and burn them into a cd. Nah, just go out and buy the first 4 albums (ok maybe the Black Album, but just listen to the songs that don't get a ton of airplay) and ignore the rest because it's all crap anyway.
