Massive Attack question?!

Question:

Massive Attack question?

I've heard a little by them and really enjoy what I've heard. Where should I start at to get a good representation of their catalog?

Answers: Funny you should ask - I was just listening to my favorite tracks off "Mezzanine" this evening. I've only really heard of the albums: "Blue Lines" and "Mezzanine" ... there's a more recent release, which is pretty much a re-release of some of the tracks on Mezzanine, which is fine for someone who collects. I was still disappointed because after a long period of time, you'd think they'd create some new stuff.
In comparison, Mezzanine is darker, more trip-hop-ish and just phenomenal than Blue Lines ...

here are my absolute favorite tracks from this album in this particular order

Risingson
Black Milk
Man next door
Dissolved Girl
Tear Drop
Inertia Creeps
Angel

hope this helps some ... I find it hard to find more trip-hop groups similar to this one. Portishead ranks high on my list of trip-hop groups, but they're still a bit different I'm very familiar with Mezzanine, Protection, and 100th Window and I have to say Mezzanine is the one to get first. It really is a fave amongst most Massive Attack fans due to the abundance of diverse, killer tracks.

100th Window has quite a few songs with Sinead O'Connor singing and they are amazing but it's a somewhat uneventful album compared to Mezzanine.

If you aren't already familiar with Tricky you should check them out as well. what is them is it a band
