This song just reminds me of my past and what I have lost.

i think its the intro and the first few lines. The instrumental in it is also sad.
there was a cover of it on a cancer research advert where this kid was looking in the mirror and his mum was there, then her turned round and she wasnt.
always reminds me of that.
wud be interested to know who that cover was. it wasnt eva cassidy.

It's also been covered by a lady called Mary Black. lol, yes I know what you mean, I think it's the tone of his voice that makes it sound depressing, imo. I do like the song though.... I get depressed listening to anything Sting sings, his voice is so rotten.
