Would you say music is the biggest good thing America contributes to the world?

I am not interested in the political or hatred toward Americans. This IS the music category after all.

I have been all over the world and American music, good or bad, can be heard even in countries that (as a whole) hate Americans.

I think that the language has alot to do with it. India has a huge music and movie industry but the language hinders the spread of it to other countries.

Nearly all countries and cultures speak english to some degree. So it would make sense that english music might spread more than music in other languages.

Opinions? Preferably from people outside or from outside the U.S.

And yes, I know British music is also big, even in America, but then that gets back to the whole language thing.

ummm...people enjoy our music? really?
they hate our guts but not our music?
