Ibanez SR 350 Bass..?!
Question:
Ibanez SR 350 Bass..?
Im in Japan right now and I went into a music shop to see what basses they had and I picked up an Ibanez catalogue/brochure. And in it when I looked at the SR section it says SR 350 but when I check it out on the english side of the site it is no where to be found. Im not talking about a simple name change here, it's a completely different bass. It has something like EQB-III B "Style Sweeper" 3 band eq. Has anyone ever came across this before? Heres some more additional details about the bass: Basswood body, 3pc Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, B100 bridge(19 mm string spacing), IBZ DXZ-P neck pickup, IBZ DXZ-J bridge pickup, Hardware colour: Cosmo Black, Colours: Candy Apple, Iron Pewter or Pearl White.
Answers:
This answer isn't Ibanez specific.
I can share with you that several guitar makers practice this method...marketing different guitars in different markets. It does get aggravating.
I suggest that you check Bass Player Magazine .Here Online site. http://www.bassplayer.com/ Perhaps they can tell you why...I know that they have the information because it is in the hard copy of their magazine that I read of this practice.
I also suggest that if you are in the market ,rather than listening to sell people check this site that gives USERS reviews.
