Which guitar has a better sound and feel... A Jackson or an Ibanez?!

Question:

Which guitar has a better sound and feel... A Jackson or an Ibanez?

Answers:

It all comes down to preference, man. I have played many models from both Ibanez and Jackson, and I prefer Ibanez guitars overall.

The biggest difference between the two is the neck. Ibanez RG's have a slightly slimmer and wider guitar neck than USA Jackson Soloists. Another difference of note is the bridge. USA Jacksons have a superior tremolo, in that they use Original Floyds. By contrast, Ibanez have their own Floyd knock-off trem installed standard. I replaced the bridge in my main Ibanez with an Original Floyd. Finally, Jacksons have Seymour Duncan pickups and High-end Ibanez's, (like the JEM), have DiMarzio pickups.

Both make quality guitars, and you should completely look over all the specs of the guitars your considering. Don't forget to go to the music store, or borrow a guitar from a friend, and actually play a few different models from each maker. Feel them out and see what tonal qualities you like and dislike from both Ibanez and Jackson.
