Where does it come from "uno, dos, tres, catorce" at the beginnig of U!

Question:

Where does it come from "uno, dos, tres, catorce" at the beginnig of U2 "Vertigo"?

I am spanish so I understand that it means 1,2,3,14 but I would like to know why they have used it and why in spanish and why 14 and not 4.....

Answers:

In an interview for Rolling Stone (linked), Bono said simply "there might have been some alcohol involved".

Alcohol or not, Bono's a pretty well-educated guy and I'm sure he knew how to count to four in Spanish; it's just a playful thing, and makes sense in terms of the song content.

The "fourteenth album" thing is a bit of an urban legend (you have to do some funny counting of EPs and live albums to even make it work) and there has never been any documentation that this was the intent.
