Clear up these Avenged Sevenfold questions for me:?

A friend told me that the singers vocal chords got ripped up from screaming so much a while back. Then she said that he got it fixed, was back for a while, but then had to stop because he was on drugs and they had to stop again because they were screwing him up.

First of all, is this true. Second, if it is, does the band still have the same singer? Im waiting for the new album to come out in October, and I just want this cleared up. Help!

M. Shadows vocal chords did get messed up. Not to sure about the drug thing though. I don't remember hearing anything about that. And yes Matt is still the lead singer for a7x.
