i would like to rewrite christmas songs and i was wondering if christmas songs are copyrighted so if they are not then i can sell them in the shops does anyone know if they are or not

if you make up your own with original tune then you should be ok. if you were thinking of rewriting old songs then you may not be allowed without permission
