There's nothing wrong with me!?

Yes, this question has an odd title lol. Anyway, my friends say there's something wrong with me because of the music I like. I'm 15 I listen to bands like the Beatles (my favorite band) the Doors, the Rolling Stones, the Cars, Motley Crue and stuff like that. I was talking with my friends about music and I told them about the bands I like and they said "Ew! Why do you like those bands?! They're all old and nobody likes them. You should listen to bands like Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco becuase they're better than what you like!" I was really hurt by that. What do you guys think about this?

I like your bands also they have no taste in music and will hopefully grow out of their close mindedness. They just eat what all the radio stations and mtv feeds them. All the overplayed junk that is the top 20. My friend your friends are very close minded when it comes to music. My advise do the same back to them and ask them why they think their music is good and yours is bad. I would bet anything there are more doors and beatles fans then FOB and P!ATD. Their music is my opinion truly sucks. And I am 16 only one year older and I know people who have changed their music tastes. I made some people into pink floyd and yes fans. They are just trying to fit in saying the classics are stupid. Being "normal" is overrated. Plus if they are in a car with you stick in your tunes then one of them may say hey that rocks. Someone asked me what is was when I had Roundabout in the car and I turned them into a yes fan.
