Guitar chords?!

Guitar chords?
how am i supposed to know if i am playing the chords right. Im not sure if they sound right, im just playing them. I tried comparing it to a website but my guitar isnt that well tuned. Any help on both of those problems would be appreciated!

Whenever I practice chords I look at a fingering chart to make sure I have got the right C E G and then I ask my dad lol cuz he has been playing for a looooong time lol. Hmmm about tuning, do you have a tuning fork? I use the piano sometimes too but a fork you can take anywhere an A fork is a pretty simple one to use.
