How long until you give up on the mainstream?!

How long until you give up on the mainstream?

I basically don't listen to ANY mainstream hip-hop (it's kinda my mortal enemy), and little by little I find myself getting sick of mainstream rock as what i'm finding underground and on the internet is simply AMAZING, am I getting old? I'm only 24

I've hated mainstream for a few years now, or at least newly released mainstream, and I'm only 16, so for everyone's sake, I hope you're not getting "old". Radio stations choose a song that they think is going to be a hit, and by playing it over and over again, they make it a hit. There's no real music these days, it's all just bands ripping each other off, and bands that write one or two good songs, and use pretty much the same tune/melody/riff in all their other songs.

I'm done ranting now :D
