Before I try to play Pride and Prejudice solos on the piano, how many years of experience should i have?

I have done about a year of piano lessons, then I quit up until now and have practiced without a teacher in between those times.

It does not matter how many years experience you have had. Obviously it helps to have more experience, but as long as you know the techniques of playing whatever you try to, and start slowly, you can work your way through the song. More experienced people will probably be able to play the song better in a shorter amount of time, but no amount of experience will replace hard work and practice.
