Drum tuning?!

Question:

Drum tuning?

Can someone tell me how to properly tune a snare drum please?

Answers:

There are different ways to tune a drum. You can tune one to the snare's designated note (most snares are E's) but I usually just tune it to how it sounds. Tune one bolt then go all the way across. Then do the bolt to the right of that one, and go all the way across, repeat this until you get the type of pop that you want. I would recommend a tight sound that itsn't too high. Of course sound is only one part. Make sure your drum head is tight so you have a nice bounce making it easier to play your drums. Hope this helps..
