rap, techno, c&w, heavy metal....
Anything with a thudding beat.... the philospher Plato recognised that repetitive beats (not melodic music) helps kill the responders in the mind that makes for good thought patterns.
So in a sense.. rubbish music is what people turn to when they don't want to think for themselves anymore.
